Riz au lait (Rice Pudding) Recipe
An easy rice pudding that makes the perfect snack.

- 1 litre of full milk (4 cups)
- 100 g of round rice or short-grained rice
- 5 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- pinch of fresh nutmeg or cinnamon
Optional
- Any fruit such as berries, pieces of mango, etc.
In a large saucepan, boil the milk with the sugar and vanilla extract.
Once the milk is at boiling temperature, reduce the heat to medium and put in the rice.
Cook the rice at medium temperature for approximately 30 minutes.
When the rice looks cooked, turn off the heat and let the rice cool.
Add any optional fruit into the rice pudding.
Serve at room temperature or at a cool temperature.
